Well made but not well thought out; The base should be wider. Update: while not suitable for many small rodents who need to press all four paws on their traveler's "floor" to feel safe, this works surprisingly well as a cozy shelter in their cage! Just leave it open and you've got a great soft shelter with a mesh window! How cool is that? I will buy more of these for this purpose instead of traveling. In addition, it is easy to wash. I don't recommend it as a travel trunk, but as a cozy, secluded couch in a cage. My friends love this item as it makes them very nice and cozy as a bed (not a stretcher).
