Works great - after a small adjustment of blade pitch. On the first try, prior to use with food, the pressure blade scratched the sieve disc, making turning very difficult and allowing metal shavings. It must not touch the pane. Instead of sending it back, I disassembled it, got a pair of pliers, and bent the blade slightly, reducing the angle of attack by about a millimeter (1/16 inch). This setting allowed the blade to clean the screen disc and now it works great! I was able to make tomato sauce 1/4 times faster, with MUCH less effort than manually pushing it through a sieve, and there was less waste. It was really fun watching him work! Assembly and disassembly is a bit tricky for someone with weak hands (I have very mild osteoarthritis) but not that difficult once you get the hang of it: first insert one side of the locking lever, then turn the grinder to get a comfortable fit Angle and push on the other side just above the notch and it will pop out. It gets a lot harder when you try to slide in from the side of the notch. After disassembly, it is easy to clean.
