I have a 2013 Honda Accord and decided to replace the head unit. What a nightmare. Aside from the insanely expensive Metra kit you need, you'll also need to run the 200" antenna extension wire to the TRUNK Well, if I wanted to use the factory antenna, I'd have to run that 200" extension wire from the new radio , completely in the trunk (at the back of the side wall on the passenger side there is a special small module, I would have to connect the antenna extension there if I wanted to use the factory antenna). Needless to say, I didn't have it; especially for AM/FM radio only lol. This $10 antenna allowed me to route this wire around the A pillar. I attached it to the top of the windshield (inside), just under the headliner on the driver's side of the car. And while I technically see it while driving, it's not distracting. I think I could just move it an extra 3 feet and mount it to the passenger side windshield instead lol. Oh well. I tested the radio and it received many stations. Although I may never need it, it's nice to have. And for β¬10 you can't go wrong.
