We drink about 3 gallons of water a day (we fill gallon containers so we know), so one set will not filter more than 300 gallons before a replacement is needed. order more; because even at 60 cents a gallon it still seems like the best solution. Update a few years later. These filter sets are just that. Expensive and ambiguous. We get a set, water flows out. We get another set, the flow is good for starters anyway but diminishes over time. Some sets last 2 months before we give them up. Some sets last four or five months.
