Review on πͺ Enhance Chair Durability with a Set of 5 Wooden Wedges for Caning Use by Kelsey Brown
Softwood is not for longer projects or wet materials
These wedges were originally great for the backs of mid-century dining chairs. Unfortunately, due to the need to pre-soak the cane, the ends of the wedges began to flatten, flake and no longer fit in the slotted channel. So I had to shave them a bit or wait for them to dry and sand them again. Although it's been great so far!
