Don't buy! A toaster with a view is a good concept. But this conversion is terrible. As others have reported, the toaster quickly develops a problem if the lever doesn't stay in the down position. To solve this problem, you can manually hold down the lever to fry it. Or sometimes you can tip the toaster over the sink and tap it a little and then try again. The chance that the problem will be solved is about 50/50. I suspect the problem is some kind of circuitry that theoretically prevents the toaster from causing a problem/fire if the user lets it fill with crumbs. However, I assure you that this happens even if there are no crumbs/leftovers inside. The "latch" is magnetic, so it's a mystery which circuit failed. We've only had the toaster for 9 months and we've had this problem for at least 6 months of that time. We're finally throwing in the towel and buying a new (and hopefully a lot more reliable!) toaster. If you want something useful, skip this. Nice but useless.
