overall a decent, small machete. Not incredibly sharp out of the box. The saw side will also need some careful sharpening. The handle is sturdy and feels pretty good in the hand. It is a good 'inbetween' size and lightweight enough to carry without adding significant weight while being sturdy enough to handle most smaller chopping tasks. It's not an axe and it's not a pocket knife so understand the uses it's intended for. only complaint is the sheath had a couple of cuts in it when it arrived.
