I purchased this product because the rubber-like surface on the steering wheel of my 2006 Honda Civic was starting to degrade [sun damage, I think] and was leaving black goo all over my hands when I drove. I would have loved something much fancier but I'm on a tight budget so price was the major factor in my purchase decision. Google says my steering wheel is 14 inches so if yours is larger, this may not work as it was a pretty tight fit. At first, I was a little annoyed because the elastic is pulled so taut that it kind of rubbed the inside of my thumbs where they wrap around the wheel. [the elastic does not go all the way into the inside of the wheel]. However, in just a couple of weeks, I've either become used to it or the elastic has relaxed enough so that it doesn't bother me. The material on the outside is indeed plush and SUPER soft. [Seriously, you could make a teddy bear out of it.] I have bad arthritis and I like the way this cover both makes gripping easier but also lets the wheel slide through my fingers when recovering from a turn. [A leather or plastic cover would not slide like that.] So, other than the tight fit/elastic issue, I'm very pleased with this product--especially for the price.
