Used this for my Yamaha EF2000is alternator.

I installed this on my Yamaha EF2000is alternator thanks to some kind people who answered my question if it would work with it. It works and is MUCH cheaper than a $45 Yamaha hour meter. Just wrap it around the spark plug and tape it to the outside of the generator with double sided tape. Easy enough.

Cons
