Review on ๐Ÿงผ Chiseled Face Shaving Soap Sampler: Explore Santa Paula, Pine Tar, Sherlock & More in Handmade Soaps by Tanya Ward

Nice sampler kit and some all natural ones

Having only received it yesterday I haven't tried all the soaps yet (and will update this review when I do). However, I wanted to write a review for a man looking for a good shaving soap. There seems to be too many options. One of my main criteria was to find a good shaving soap with as few artificial ingredients as possible. While I'm not a chemist and I'm sure a lot of artificial ingredients are fine, I like being able to read and understand what I'm putting on my face. Chiseled Face was one of the few companies whose ingredient list I was able to find. read by a human. Additionally, if you go to their website, you'll see descriptions of each soap, including what's in it and why. For example, the creator actually explains why one soap needed to be artificially scented and another didn't, etc. I also loved how crazy some of this company's scent ideas were. Just read their description of the Midnight Stag notes to see what I mean. Courage is attractive. With the sample set you get some very small samples in nice jars. While some reviews complain about how tiny they are, the size of the samples is intentional because you don't feel guilty if you have to throw something away that you don't like. +---------------- --------+ Soap & fragrance overview:+----------------- - -----+1. Santa Paula: The main scent is Petitegrain, strong but extremely clean and refreshing on the skin. It dries quickly so you may need to reapply, but gives a nice smooth finish with a light lather. I consider this a winner.

Pros
  • So far so good
Cons
  • Definitely a bad product
