Works well! arrived well packaged BUT be aware the instructions are "ridiculous"! Number 1 tells you to insert the lid into the "lid washer" and lock it. OK. but Sherlock Holmes had to unlock the "cover puck". So we finally figured out how to unlock the lid disc - be careful when you unlock it so you don't break any of the 'locks' as you ruin a pretty well thought out concept that 'they' came up with. Number 2 says put it in the dishwasher! Please note that a washing machine is not possible with this device. Number 3. Add detergent. Any old detergent should work. There is no clear information here. Number 4. When the cleaning is finished (dishwasher stops?!), let the lid dry in the washing machine. Ooooh, that also assumes that every old dishwasher can wash and not dry in every cycle. Well I'm sure it can't. continue. SENTENCES WRITTEN ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE CARTON INSTRUCTIONS SAY: NO WOOL HAT. COLD WATER ONLY. NO WASHING MACHINE. and some other cap size information. I've never seen a dishwasher that only uses cold water to wash dishes in each cycle. Oooooh if you can figure it out let me know. SUMMARY: I washed the guinea pig hat in the dishwasher on the lowest speed allowed, it washed and dried the hat. I could not control the drying function. EVERYTHING WORKED OUT. BUT. Note that the instructions leave a lot to be desired.
