Yes the instruction is not very precise but the diagram is pretty clear. The base was already assembled. Check out my pics, no need to overcomplicate it, a thicker frame will require longer hex bolts and thin areas will obviously use shorter hex bolts. , and pedals. I used 4 for the pedals and 2 for the handlebars. I had to provide 2 washers (to attach the pedals) and didn't need any other hardware. I really like this stand and it suits my needs perfectly. It's great quality and I would buy it again. I'm no pro, but it worked great with my Logitech G29. It came with velcro straps for cable management and I thought it was a nice touch. The wires were securely attached to the stand and moving the stand around was easy as the wires weren't dangling or tugging around. A few issues that didn't really bother me. Do not overtighten the nuts as this will bend the square posts. The metal is soft to the touch but holds up well. When shaken on purpose, the stand moves a little, but it is not very noticeable during the movement.
