I tend to overcook poultry, pork and fish for fear of foodborne illness. I decided this would be a tool to prevent overcooking and overdrying of meat. And I wasn't wrong! Since using this thermometer, my pork chops, fish and chicken breasts have been the juiciest I've ever cooked. Even my friends and family noticed! I'm not sure if that's entirely true, but not having to guess whether a fat chicken breast will be raw in the middle saves me the heartache of serving undercooked meals to loved ones. A temperature list for different meats is included, easy to read/clear and gives me the confidence to improve my cooking. I used to laugh at those who used them, confident that I could "know" when the meat was done, but this little tool has become a vital helper in my everyday cooking.
