I'm a musician who usually uses cheaper computer speakers just for reference. I was drawn to them because I needed speakers that wouldn't take up an outlet. Although I know more than most when it comes to speakers, THIS surprised me! My number one love is the fact that they are 100% USB powered. I'm also interested in computers, so I have a lot of USB ports on my computer, as well as a large power adapter. My most important takeaway from these speakers is the bass control on the subwoofer. You can place the subwoofer in a dark corner under your desk and turn down the bass until you get the sound you want. Or, if the sub is somewhere out in the open, you can dial in the bass until it's uncomfortably "basic" - er. I had to double check and make sure I didn't pay more than $200 for it. Shocked to find that they only cost $10 more than a similar set that uses a "wall wart" and NO "bass button". You will love it.
