The latest trend in hair removal is IPL: Intense Pulsed Light. Thanks to improved light technology, portable devices are now available that provide the light intensity needed to perform IPLs at home at an affordable price. I have tried several of these IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) hair removal devices. Compared to others I've tried, this one is reasonably priced and seems to offer similar features. The only thing you're missing out on is an LCD flash counter. Since this thing is rated for half a million flashes - more than enough for almost any lifetime - the LCD number counter you're using is pretty much useless. The operation is quite trivial: you plug in the power supply, the hair removal device is NOT battery operated; it must be connected to the network), you choose the power level (five settings selected by a short press of the power button)), then target the area of the body with hair you want to erase. Clear. Before starting, it is advisable to cleanse the body and shave the hair. You can choose to flash when needed (using the button on the side) or continuously when skin contact is detected. Switching between modes is done with a long press of the button on the side. The light is very strong and can damage eyes with prolonged direct exposure. Therefore you should never look directly into the light and cheap folding glasses are included in the scope of delivery. The light is turned on by a touch-sensitive metal area on the front of the device. With very slow movement I was able to capture the light (see photos). But the burn time is very short. Run the tool over the area where you want to remove hair, making sure to uncover all the hair follicles in that area. You won't see instant results. The light signals that your hair has stopped growing, but it takes multiple treatments over several weeks before you see results. Eventually, you should see significant hair reduction in the treated areas. In the box you get a tool, a power adapter, cheap sunglasses and a cheap disposable razor. This device offers only one mode: hair removal. . Other IPL devices offer other modes (skin rejuvenation and acne treatment). Whether that's a loss depends on whether you believe these other modes actually work. The jury is out. One thing you don't get with this tool are attachments that can make it easier to work on specific areas of the body. Some IPL removal tools contain them. The true value of such tools is up for debate, and the core functionality (that's a high-intensity flash of light) doesn't change. Overall, this device promises acceptable IPL hair removal at a bargain price. It costs up to 80% less (at the time of writing) when compared to other devices that promise the same functionality. Provided it works just as well, it's of great value. Pros: **IPL for hair removal, easy to use **Extremely cheap compared to the competition Cons: **No digital usage counter on the LCD **Mediocre aesthetics **The wall plug is wide and the direction of the plug is such that some extensions -Arrays can be occupied several places. Please note that the model of this device is AI05. This model (and others from the same manufacturer) are available from multiple brands at Revain, so take a look around.
