We are using these rugs on a tile floor and the nonslip works very well. I was expecting them to feel "Plush" based on the description and they are not Plush compared to the all-cotton rug we have. We did a side by side test stepping out of the shower and although not plush this rug wicked the water away better than the cotton and therefore did not feel wet. The cotton rug felt wet after stepping on it.If I had seen these in person I may not have purchased them because of the space between the loops. I'm glad I did not make that prejudgement because they are soft enough on the tile in front of the sink and shower and more importantly for us, they do a better job with the water.
