My goal: a proper home cinema1. Speaker 7.1 (tested)2. AVR to output audio to speaker and video to screen (tested)3. Screen 80-135 inches4. 4K/HDR Ready Projector (Under $1,500)5. A projector that I can move in different rooms6. He has good speakers. And so I bought this one. Delivery Execution: 1. Ordered to deliver the goods in a Revain box. nope The product was delivered in its original packaging.2. It was expected to be delivered by Saturday but UPS delayed it and it was received on Tuesday of the following week. The package was just terrible. The sides of the package were wet from the rain (see photo). The elements (device, remote control etc. etc.) inside are still in order and there are no signs of damage. And so I started testing it. This is where it gets interesting, out of the box. 1. The projected image is not clear even when the unit is placed on a flat surface. Maybe I need to adjust or manually adjust the keystone distortion. But why? Of course I can do it.2. Aptoide TV (Android) is just bad. Netflix, Youtube, Prime Video, etc. just don't work. This is a projector and people will at least use it for watching movies. If you don't like it, just use FireStick TV. Of course I can do it.3. Autofocus is hit or miss. It's interesting though. You can set it up manually. Of course I can do it.4. The sales literature posted on their website says the 'Keystone' is automatic, but the specs are 'electric'. Just adjust manually. Of course I can. Sports broadcasts are just dark and harsh.6. Broadcasts/news are only dark.7. Movies (4K/1080p/HDR) are difficult to watch. Dark scenes are DARK ONLY (no details, just dark). Image settings did not help. I've tried updating/resetting/using the settings used by an internet browser and the results are the same. Notice that I was projected onto a wall (off-white). It should be so. So I decided on a decent projector screen from Silver Tickets (STR-169135-S 135 inches). The results are still the same. Unfortunately. Returned.
