I bought these shoes hoping my 3 year old could put them on himself with velcro straps. He wears 5 in WonderKids and Garanimals but they were too small for 5 and we ended up going back for 6. Unfortunately, the back of the shoe is such that he still can't put them on. His heel always bumps against her. (Back padding maybe?) However, the shoes are SUPER CUTE when I put them on. And he loves her. They also have a real rubber outsole (no slippery cheap stuff)!
