This timer is not a metal ring as advertised. Well it looks like metal but it must be fake it's so light and just plain cheap. The timer alarm at max volume is not that loud. I can't hear it in another room unless it's muted in the house. I don't have a dB meter, but I doubt it's 90 dB. , the over range microwave we've had since 2002 had a nice very loud timer alarm that didn't go off until you turned it off and you could hear it all over my unit, even in the back bedroom with a portable AC full fully occupied. New microwave and even oven, their timer functions are useless and they only beep 2 times then stop. to find another timer for me.
