Review on New Balance Womens 847V3 Walking by Lauren Lewis

I have worn the New Balance 847 for many years and this purchase was my sixth pair but first of the V3s. The older versions were perfectly comfortable from the start, but not this one. They took several weeks to break in and I could only wear them for a few hours a day, after which I had to change my old ones. The toe box is still wide but not as "high" as the other versions, so my toe box rested on the top of the shoe. The padding on the top of the shoe also rubbed under the outside of my ankle. The insoles seem to be thinner and made of cheaper material than they used to be, so I immediately replaced them with good quality insoles - I could usually use the stock insoles for a while and then change them. Overall I am very disappointed with this shoe as I expected more from New Balance especially at this price point. I think I'll be on the lookout for a new favorite shoe in the near future.
