Review on OWC 8GB (2 X 4GB) 1867 MHZ DDR3 SO-DIMM PC3-14900 204 Pin CL11 Memory Upgrade by Jeremy Kakaruk

I'm not a geek and usually have no idea what I'm talking about. However, I chose these RAM items after watching the youtube guide and then installing them while also watching the youtube guide. Installation was very easy. When I first booted up the computer and verified that my RAM had indeed gone from 8GB to 24GB, I was delighted and expected a magical performance difference. Unfortunately I didn't notice anything. The spinning circle continued to appear when launching applications such as Chrome and MS Outlook. However. After about a week of multiple computer restarts, I'm DEFINITELY noticing a big overall difference in my iMac's performance. Less app freezes on startup, fewer video crashes, more compatibility with MS Office products (especially when opening Excel workbooks), etc. Also, I always had a very bad habit of opening 50+ Safari tabs and then finally the computer completely freezing (so bad I had to press the power button to force the shutdown). I've noticed almost no issues despite my abusive browsing style. All in all, the purchase was definitely worth it. My only regret is that I didn't update sooner!
