Suitable for beginners but requires practice.

This is my first gimbal and I'm not sure I'll keep it as it wasn't designed for the iPhone 12. I had to remove the thin silicone case from the phone to get it to fit and even then everything is a little more unbalanced. It took a little light tweaking right out of the box. There were no directions, just a map with some QR codes. I made a "male" thing (shame on me) and tried to figure it out myself, but most of the buttons didn't work. I thought it was broken. I then finally scanned the code, which led me to the FeiyuTech website and a series of video tutorials, including "How to Connect to Bluetooth". Turns out you have to download their app to use most of the buttons. The synchronization didn't take long, after that everything worked as it should. The stabilizer has several features that I didn't expect. Whether that's good or bad for a beginner, I haven't decided yet. I've been playing with this for a few days now and still can't figure out how to keep it from tipping from side to side. No matter which function I use, the camera axis seems to have a mind of its own. For example, if I slowly move to the left, my phone will focus on something on the right until I stop. Then he quickly moves to the left to catch up. (When I pan from bottom to top or vice versa, the object stays in focus.) In an application, you should be able to draw a box around an object to keep focus on that object. but I haven't managed to get this to work yet. I'll practice with him for another week or two and see if I need to adjust. I'll get back to you, so stay tuned! (Note: no matter how good your ninja walk is, the camera will not stabilize in heels or wedges, so be sure to wear flexible flats or sneakers.)

Pros
  • Worth the money
Cons
  • poorly designed
