I am a fairly devoted consumer of Sony because I adore this brand, and whenever I make a new purchase, I do it with the confidence that, because it is manufactured by Sony, the product will be of the highest possible quality. Headphones were purchased as a solution to the problem of external noise in the workplace. The noise cancelling mode is very effective at obliterating any and all ambient noises in the immediate vicinity. I adjusted the volume of the song so that it was very low, and this was sufficient to mask the noise that was entering my ears despite the presence of active noise reduction. I would like to give a more in-depth description of the deficiencies, which are Quite disheartening. 1. Notifications from Google Assistant, which, even when it is completely turned off on the phone, will, from time to time, offer to turn them back on. Although I acknowledge that this is an issue with the phone and not the headphones, I have not yet determined whether or not there is anything that can be done about it. It manifests itself in the following way: without any action being taken on the user's part, the music abruptly ceases, and either an attempt is made to search for anything on the Internet, or it is advised by voice that the user turn on notifications. 2. Sensor. To begin, there are too many distinct movements to choose from, and it is highly likely that you will want several weeks of practice in order to precisely make the specific gesture that you require. Second, while walking down the street, the sensor may occasionally stop working, which will cause you to stop and scratch your ear in front of other people, which will likely cause them to be confused. Thirdly, if you move the headphones around your neck or remove them entirely, you will occasionally cling to the sensor and call functions that you did not intend to call. This can be avoided by moving the headphones around your neck. My number one wish is that Sony will implement an option to disable it and protect users from erroneous good results. 3. The reasoning behind the mode known as "on the street" In my opinion, this is one of the most significant issues that exists. Your headphones have the ability to automatically switch to a "outdoor" mode a few times a day. When in this mode, the music cuts out almost entirely and the ambient noise from the surrounding environment is amplified. The developers originally envisioned that placing your palm to your ear would activate this mode. However, not only can this mode turn on without your participation, but it also won't turn off until you restart the headphones. This is such a terrible tragedy! Please, Sony, give me the option to turn off this functionality. Thank you.
