The wooden shelf on this hanger is absolutely beautiful in person. Unfortunately, it basically gets covered up by my pot. I did have to braid some thick strings I had to make it long enough to hang in my kitchen window, however, it worked out perfectly. My ONLY complaint about these types of holders is that since it's not glued in place if it gets knocked into, they have to be readjusted. It's not a total dealbreaker though - they're quite lovely. It also comes with a hook to hang the plant, which is a plus. (In the attached photo, it's the hanger on the left.)
