I got this little heater based on reviews so I'll be adding my own to help other buyers. The testimonials that won me over came from the Midwest because I know how cold it can be at this time of year and in winter. I live in a high desert where it gets pretty cold at night. When my heater arrived it was the perfect day to check it out as it was the first night frost of the cold season. I live in a place with good window insulation, but frost can cause floors and rooms to heat up to 64-69 degrees. In addition to the feeling of warmth to determine if this heater is working well, I have a fan that can register the temperature in my room. I heated the room on the second level so the room was a comfortable 76 degrees. However, I did set the setting to 1 at night to see how it would keep the room warm during the coldest part of the night. When I woke up in the morning, the room was 74 degrees. So far I'm impressed with the type of heat given off by infrared and its ability to keep you warm throughout the night. Another important factor in my purchase decision was the price, which is similar to other heaters that blow hot air out of the vents. I don't like hot air, and another infrared heater I considered cost over $100. It has some fancy features like controlling Wi-Fi from your phone and setting a specific temperature, but it's a little over my budget right now. I am satisfied with the price, the quiet, the lasting warmth and the size of this heater.
