Any Xbox One owner can attest that having to install every game you want to play on a hard drive with very limited storage space is a hassle have to. It's the perfect answer to keep adding games to your collection without having to guess what games live or die on your hard drive, or play Russian roulette with games already installed to make room for a new one. With the addition of 2TB of free space, I can comfortably install all my games while leaving plenty of free space. This site and other reviewers have said that after you plug in an external drive, Xbox One will recognize it and present instructions you need to follow in order to use it. I didn't get this prompt and had to figure out how to set up the drive manually: 1. Press Menu (Start) and select Settings2. Select "Storage Management"3. Select your storage device and choose Format for games & apps. Once the format is complete, you can go to the Games & Apps section and (hopefully) see a nice 2TB increase in your storage space. You can use the Manage Game feature to move games to and from local and external drives. During installation, you can select external as the main installation location.
