I bought a medium size. They fit well, not tight but a bit loose. Jack Russell Australian Cattle Dogs are mixed here. He suffers from terrible hyperkeratosis. His front paws crack, dry out, get ugly blisters (I can remove a layer of paw by hand about every 3 months and it doesn't hurt him) and his paws get sensitive with the seasons so I bought them. They hold up well on the front legs, but on the back you'll need some sort of medical tape (I recommend 1-2 inches wide) to hold them in place so they don't slip off. I take my dog to the park twice a day, so these socks have become my new favorite socks. They come with velcro to keep them in place, but when working out or running they can't keep them in place. If all you need are socks for around the house, these are great. Be sure to clip and file the nails, otherwise they tear easily. -1 star because the bottom is rubber? They fall off easily (I hand washed them and one fell off) and -1 for the cost because the socks aren't thicker. Is it worth buying? Will I buy again? I am sure. I just ordered 3 new pairs. Ps. I wouldn't bother buying a larger size if you have vet packaging. Works like a flypaper. Holds socks in place and does not tighten as it is a type of elastic band.
