First of all, this gas cap works for me! It came in a clear plastic bag labeled Delco Parts. My engine light has been on for two weeks now. My friend and I used two different counters to find the correct error code. Both counters found the same error code. Have watched several YouTube videos and googled this code number issue many times. The code I received was (Po442). This code was for (Emission Control System Leak, Minor). My car is a 2010 Impala. I installed on September 6th and today is September 9th. This new cover has helped so far! I'm not a car mechanic, okay! Don't make the same mistake I did and just put on a new gas cap because the check engine light stays on! You need to disconnect the pos cable from the battery and leave it unplugged for 3-5 minutes. This will restart the vehicle's onboard computer. When I did that I checked and the NO Engine light came on. I had to reset my clock and preset radio stations, but it's come to this! If there are any changes, I will update this post! Much luck!
