Music and Podcasts: The sound quality of the music is much better than I expected. At least they're as good as standard wired Apple headphones. Maybe just being in the helmet makes you richer. I'm not sure, but unless you're an audio snob you'll be very pleased. Phone Calls: Incoming calls are easy to spot even at highway speeds and dual sport studded tires. The caller can understand you perfectly at any speed, but can be difficult to understand due to tire noise (Track Master II) above 80 km/h. No problems on gravel or gravel at any speed, so I can assume street tires will work on tarmac at any speed. My brother bought the same model and I could hear how the units sounded from both angles. Virtually no background noise on calls. As a Bluetooth headset, it works as well or better than any standard headset I've tried. FM Radio: The radio function is a nice feature that I don't understand, I would appreciate it. This works very well. Communication function: The range is quite good. Generally, if you are close enough to see, you will hear the other person. However, I have not measured it; the distance must be in the range of ¼ mile. It loses connection in the mountains when you are a few hundred meters apart and the road returns sharply around the mountain. Basically a mountain is blocking the signal. Even if there is no distance between drivers, it still works in corners. I was very surprised to find out how helpful it is when stopped. It's a lot easier to yell over your visor or at idle bikes. We have about 8 hours of talk time if we stay connected. I still can't ride anymore. I'll experiment with standby to see how long it lasts and switch to standby instead of staying connected 100% of the time. This should last several days and give me more time for personal singing. Style: The fit and finish is good for the price. The buttons are easy to press even with riding gloves. The silver/black color goes well with most helmets. Installation: Installing the speakers and microphone was easy. It took maybe 15 minutes. The included tape made everything smooth. Mine has been installed for over a month with no signs of loosening. Conclusion: These devices are of great value. They work better than expected. I was reluctant to spend hundreds on big brands as the new technology will be coming soon. I'm glad I bought the BT-S3 instead!
