I have had difficulty finding flannel nightgowns that meet my criteria, so I decided to try this fleece gown and it ranks very near the top. The best nightgown will be durable, warm, soft and have pockets, elastic on the sleeves (to keep them out of the dish water), cover the collar bone (no cold scoop necks), and come down to the ankles after washing. To be fair, in 40 years, only one nightgown, out of at least 30, has ever met all these criteria! This gown is made VERY well. It is soft, has pockets, a warm collar and still hits BELOW my ankles after several washings (It is the Large and I am 5'2"). It is warm, but the fleece is a bit thin so the breeze when you walk does decrease the warmth. I can put rubber bands on the sleeves for doing dishes, right?
