Let's be honest. I bought it because I thought it was cute and whimsical. The couple rolled their eyes when they discovered I only bought it because it was "Atom", but I still love it. The older child played with him a little and the younger one was crazy about him. Thank goodness because I was starting to get angry that I bought something just because I thought it was cute. When shaken he makes a nice rattle and is perfect for his little drooling jaw. He chews on this thing all the time and seems to enjoy the durability compared to the softer teething toys we have. It's the perfect size for his one year old's little hands and he seems intrigued by the colours. It's also good for in-car entertainment, which is good since it doesn't take up much space. And yes, I still laugh about this being an atom. This might make me a little more biased in my rankings, but I don't care.
