It's very stylish and the brown fur lining is soft and plush. Assembly required no instructions, it is quite intuitive to just twist the pieces together. However, when I screwed them together, they seemed to clean the screw holes and immediately the top platform would not screw in tightly. I don't know if it was because it was a "lemon" or if my huge girl power twisted the pieces too much, but cats don't jump on it. It's pretty easy to shake, so I keep it in a corner or at least against a wall for more stability. I have a cat that weighs 12 and 15 pounds and they both love snuggling in the hole together - they lie on top of each other of course but they like to sit like this so it works. They really like that I sprinkled some catnip on it!
