Review on 🔒 Cruiser Accessories 81200: Stainless Locking Fasteners for License Plate Frames - Standard-Stainless Star Pin by Minas Chase

I ordered a set to install 2 on the front and 2 on the back. I received it today and tried to install it. The screws are VERY soft metal. When trying to screw them into my car, the "star" started removing them with the tool provided. To be honest I don't even know if I can take them off, let alone someone trying to steal my plates. So yes, this security is there (hence the 2 stars). I know they were cheap and there are other options but I don't understand why soft metal was used for the security screw. Especially with a brand fitting with a star and rack. I don't think they are stainless steel as advertised. Undress this kid and try to screw it in and it will take you a long time to try to remove it. With her tool, the thing kept slipping out because it was being torn off. Several times I thought I had hit the car and scratched it. I was halfway there and had to make a choice to keep going or give up. I ended up installing them, but I'll look for a replacement. Despite other reviews, this is not a purchase recommendation.
