Review on πŸ”’ Presto 0 Pressure Cooker Sealing Ring & Automatic Air Vent Bundle (3 & 4 Quart) - Enhanced for Improved SEO by Jeff Talcott

Revainrating 5 out of 5

It will really fit. At first it may seem too big, but with this simple trick it will fit.

It really fits. There is a simple trick for the installation. Old seals shrink over time and are therefore smaller than new ones. (Shrinkage is one reason they need to be replaced when they wear out.) My old autoclave's model number is Presto 21B or CA21. At first the seal looked an inch too big. I had just pulled out an old filling so I knew exactly where to put it. However, it is not typed like the old one. It seems it can't fit in any way, but it really will go in. Here's how to do it. Insert the gasket into the gasket groove. When entering, work backwards as far as possible, pushing the seal in and out. Move back and forth from side to side until the gap closes, and then it's inside. In other words, work around the band and gradually compress it, the slack will be taken up and it will fit. to close the first few times I've used it. It gets easier every time. Very tight closure. To reiterate from another review, there is a lip or lip that you need to put a gasket under before you start twisting. I noticed a one star review that had a photo of a seal that doesn't fit, but in this photo the seal is not inserted under the crest making it look too big. I made the same mistake before finding the hole she's entering. So once again insert the gasket into the slot - go all the way, it will be too big, but much smaller. the remaining slack, as mentioned above, can be taken up along the entire length of the tape using the twisting technique. I'm so excited to get this working - I hope this helps someone else revive the gem! The packaging I used said: Part #09907 replaces part #1075.
