Clay is much smaller than shown in photos. The tone is far from the consistency of sculpey or craftsmart (I prefer those brands over this one). Also, clay is so soft and sticky that it's very difficult to work with as it doesn't really hold its shape and sticks to whatever surface you apply it to. . The clay has a strange chemical odor while baking and some of the clay was exposed or damp. It was as if the black clay was wet when I opened it and the color came off my hands. The instruments are good although the variety is nice and they are not of poor quality.
