It was not possible to engrave the plate in 2 layers of plastic. My setup works fine with the V-Carve bit, but I've tried to make something more even in width because some of the plastic plates have a slight kink. These bits are very fragile. One broke while setting up the machine, my fault, but the tip broke from the barley touching the plastic while the Z was being zeroed. The material didn't release well and clogged, melting the material down to the second bit. The third, fourth and fifth cutting edges were tried at different spindle speeds and feeds. Doesn't melt too slowly but looks awful when cut. Once you get a good cut, the plastic will start to melt. I have an air blower so it's not a finish material. I think the neck isn't deep enough for this application and the plastic is too soft for the speed needed for a decent cut. My guess is that they probably work better on harder materials. I'll be testing them on PCBs in the future as that's what they're designed for and will update my review. I just didn't want anyone to buy them for any other purpose.
