Update 8/18/21: I don't know why the laptop no longer recognizes the device. I'm trying to restore the system hoping it will fix itself. Update 7/28/21: The battery is very good. Bummed could not connect to bluetooth speaker. But I don't add any pictures or anything like that, just music. I will try again with Bluetooth headphones. Pretty great sound. I'm wondering if this will drain the MP3 player's battery more than the extra port headphones? I hope not. The battery works great, but the Bluetooth headphones force the volume to max to get more out of it. Ordinary add-on headphones have the best sound for this, and it only has to be in the middle for good sound. I'd really like it to work better with Bluetooth headphones, as I cling to the extra headphone cord for everything I move around my room, and that's where I use it most when it's too hot to walk or whatever is out there Update 6/7/21 Okay, so when I connect to my laptop to add music, sometimes an album or two ends up in the Unknown Artist folder on the MP3 player, even though I do have the album information. When I view albums in an MP3 player with Windows Media Player for a laptop, ALL ALBUMS ARE NOT SHOWN, even though I know they are. The MP3 player organizes this in its own way, so to speak. If I look under Genre, it shows more information. TODAY I USE THE EXTRA CABLE for the first time to connect it to my car stereo and see the sound and quality. I know how to shuffle but sometimes it's hard to remember how to change the play mode and it ONLY shuffles the album I open and press the three line button on the top left for play mode. Haven't tried to see if I can listen to different albums in random order but I hope so. Finally, I plan on using the mp3 in the car instead of having the CDs in the love department because the extreme heat I live in destroys the CD trays. Yes, I'm from the old school. I have an intercity drive in a year when I move house and know I can NOT play around with the mo3 player while driving. I think I could make a playlist with an MP3 player. I have a case for it (pictured) but it's not practical at all when using an MP3 player. So it's better to try a cell phone popsocket to reduce the chance of slipping out of your hand. Just hope it still slides easily into the housing in the strap. Works great with car audio, but you'll need to turn up the volume on your MP3 player for this to work. Don't forget to turn down the brightness of your MP3 player after turning it off as the headphones were too loud. Updated again. Bluetooth works, but headphones with a good cable turned out to be best for volume. There is a way to shuffle the album if you click 3 rows on the top left. The backlighting of the keys is barely visible in daylight. Copying songs in MP3 format means the song titles will be listed. Sometimes an album or songs will be listed under Unlisted or Unknown Artist, but that's no big deal. The battery seems fine. Slippery in hand so be careful when holding it. It just arrived today and the user manual has many languages so it took me a while to find English. I hooked it up to my laptop and it added software to the laptop but I noticed the battery showed the strips were charging. After a few seconds I turned off the MP3 player and the battery showed a full charge. My brochure shows you how to lock and unlock the keys. I'm not sure if the reviews I read before ordering were based on the current MP3 player. As with any electronics, it takes a second to figure out how to set the language, date and time, but I haven't seen if the information is in the owner's manual. The case I have is great for the MP3 player. I like the strap so the mp3 doesn't accidentally fall out. I believe this is the one recommended if you scroll down where they list 2 other things you may need. I will update the rating once I start downloading and using music. Sound quality is pretty good with Bluetooth headphones and wired headphones. I just want to remind you that this is not a touchscreen. Pairing the headphones was very easy and quick.
