These bags are nowhere labeled as compostable and they feel more like a normal plastic bag -- they do not have the slightly creepy feel of the compostable bags that they have at some stores.Either way, these bags should go in the trash, not the recyclable bin.Our local trash company lists plastic bags, INCLUDING compostable plastics among the things NOT to include in your compost bin.
The bags apparently tangle in the machinery and I am glad that I am not the poor person who has to get them out again
- Use a countertop recycle bin but it fills up so quickly, Glad to be able to tie it up to put outside.
- The 8-gallon size is limited and may not fit larger garbage cans.
