I have very fine, straight hair that tends to hold onto the product. I resorted to a clarifying shampoo once a week but after that my hair was completely dry and the extensions started immediately the next day. This shampoo left my hair soft after just one wash but free of any product. The hair became visibly softer, traces of greasyness disappeared. It doesn't wash everything away enough that my hair feels completely degreased and dried out like after using a clarifying shampoo. The only potential downside for some people might be that it doesn't have the strong pleasant smell that I've found with other Nexxus products. Rather, it has a very light scent that reminds me of incense. I use a Nexxus conditioner that smells like coconut after using this product, but that's just personal preference. I totally recommend this product if you want your hair to be softer and not leave product build up!
