Review on Daystar Universal Fairlead Isolator KU70039BK by Todd Vesci

I can say without a doubt that it is a perfect match for the winch that came with my smittybilt x20 10k winch. It is too wide for my previous generation smittybilt XRC 9.5k winch. on my car. Daystar makes another isolator for those referred to simply as their "Smittybilt" isolator. I used to be VERY careful pulling my hook into the fairlead, but with this insulator it's easier and less likely to damage the fairlead. . You still have to be VERY careful with the tip squeezing the line as it runs through the rollers. I love having that dead weight in the middle of the line, but I also have a Warn mute that I hang on the line. And for the record, it's URETHANE, not plastic like some one-star reviews say.
