Used the adhesive pads instead of drilling and it came out great. I found it easier to attach them temporarily with painters tape so that I could adjust the placement and mark the wall. The backing on those pads is very slippery and the adhesive is soooo strong that you really only have one shot at getting it right (wish they included spares or at least sold extras).Overall it was painless and they look fantastic. Just be very careful and don’t rush it.edit:it will be two years, in just a few months, since i installed these shelves using the adhesive method and they look just a good as when i put them up. no sign at all of it peeling or failing at any point. incredibly happy with the shelves and would recommend them. the sticky pads are almost invisible and the effect looks like they are just part of the shower.
