I was happy to find a stainless steel marinade pick. I had a plastic one and it fell apart. I have read the review and I have to agree. The gripping portion of this item is not very durable. I mainly use it for baby cucumbers and most of the time it works. But even with the larger dills, he struggles to hold onto them long enough to get them out of the jar. Of course, this seems like a simple fix. The grip on my plastic was very strong. In fact, parts of the claws would cut into baby cucumbers a bit. It was explosion-proof except for the plastic, which couldn't withstand a strong spring.
