This is a very good burner with high output. I use it to melt strips of resin into cracks in my asphalt driveway. Some people use them to kill weeds. I prefer Roundup for that. It's cheaper and lasts longer, and there's no risk of fire in the yard. This burner produces an incredible amount of heat. 800,000 BTUs is the equivalent of ten large gas grills running at full power. It's a lot of heat. My feet almost burn when I use it, although I use it on cold fall days when the burner is as far from my feet as I can hold it. About half a new 20-pound propane tank was used to lay and melt a 200-foot layer of tar. This will use up a full tank of propane in less than three hours (probably closer to 2 I think, but that's just a guess). Good piezoelectric starter and valve. Nice long cable that allows you to put the tank down and work at some distance from the tank without holding the tank. Just a great burner.
