I have a 12 year old beast from a CoolerMaster case that has room for 7 case fans. It currently has 5 case fans installed, but my MB only has 4 fan headers. When I recently replaced the PSU, I found that the Molex cable only works with a fan. I must have been lazy, drunk, or just plain impatient during the last rebuild, but I had no intention of reinstalling this molex. This splitter has eliminated the Molex and works great with two fans. I can also add another unnecessary fan if I ever feel like it. Good solid connections on this splitter.
