I bought this to wear over a long or short sleeve t-shirt or short sleeve button down shirt on a cool morning or in the summer to wear. in the evenings when the husband decides that the air conditioning should run at the comfort level of a polar bear. He does it. The material is very soft and pleasant to the touch, suitable for everyday wear. The aqua color is very beautiful. Since I was planning on layering, I bought the XL. The size is rather large. Underneath, a long-sleeved t-shirt looks unwieldy. A short-sleeved t-shirt is best. If I wanted to wear this over a turtleneck in the winter, I don't think it would work at all. In any case, I wouldn't tumble dry this, but I hope washing in cold water on a constant press or on the gentle cycle doesn't shrink. You might plan on ordering a size up or even two, depending on whether you're going to be layering and what you're going to wear. I give 5 stars for the quality but in my case 4 stars and only for the fit. I considered ordering an XXL just to see how it would fit around the neck of a turtleneck.
