Can't say much about flea control as my two cats got sick from it. They were on them for several days before any problems arose. A cat initially had slight stomach pains, but these gradually got worse. When my second cat also started getting sick, I realized what it could be. I removed the collars and it took several days for the sick kittens to feel better, but there were no serious problems. I have never experienced something like that. Maybe they were just touchy, but be alert if you try this.
