I have an upstairs media room in the back of a 4,000 square ft. The room is well isolated from sound and the combination of distance and isolation results in literally zero Wi-Fi signal in the room. I use a Plex Media server to send movies to players around the house at 30Mbps or more, and I wouldn't want to burn all the Wi-Fi bandwidth with that load even if I could. I connected one of these Zyxel AV2000s to my router and the other to a TV in my media room to create a long range physical bridge. It was no hassle, just two devices to connect and they worked like gangsters! Now I see 155 Mbit/s from the TV to the media server! I highly recommend these devices for high-speed point-to-point bridges. I *do not* recommend these devices for building high-speed Ethernet bridges with multiple endpoints. I bought four of these devices because I figured I could eliminate Wi-Fi media loads around the house. It was ineffective. It appears that the power cables only have a fixed pool of available bandwidth and are essentially split between the links, with a little more loss due to overhead. If each link was only used while the others were idle, a multipoint link might be suitable for carrying high-speed traffic, but that's not my usage model.
