Review on Custom Leathercraft 364 Measuring Holder by Larry Boyd

I bought this to attach a tape measure to my carpenter's apron. I cut off the top (with slots for the belt) and then attached it with rivets to the front of the apron, with another piece of leather on the inside of the apron for extra support but mainly to keep the rivets from damaging the material tear the apron. I painted the front black to match the apron. See attached photos front and back. This worked great and was an inexpensive solution to attaching a tape measure to an apron. I have read other reviews where some have pointed out that this is a very thin leather. I don't think so at all. Before cutting the slots for the belt I tried as advertised. It clipped to my belt and was strong enough to easily attach and remove the tape. My caliper is about 7/64" thick. In fact I have not found anything negative about this product and would recommend it.
