Definitely not oversized
I only wear this belt with a fastening ring and don't attach it to belt loops, as in the photo. I like the belt as it doesn't stick out from under my tops like a buckled belt. It's stretchy enough that you don't have to unzip it when nature calls. Even though I'm a size 3, I had to undo the strap all the way down to even wear it, and that's with the ring clasp adding an extra 1.5 inches. This size is best for older kids or a slim teen unless you're super petite like me.
