These were my first boxing gloves and lasted a couple of months before I realized my knuckles were bruised and eventually broken. My trainer explained to me the difference between the padding in these gloves and her Hayabusa gloves and it was obvious. The padding on these eternal gauntlets was almost razor thin compared to her Hayabusa Tanpeki gauntlets, which she had owned for over a couple of years. Your hands are literally your money and boxing is a very powerful workout for your hands. The least you can do is use the right gear to protect yourself not only from short-term injuries like my bruises and broken joints, but also from circulatory damage and fragile tendons that build up in the complex structure of your wrist and wrist hands are located. Cheap boxing gloves is basically the same as buying a cheap bike helmet, not a good idea. I do not recommend these gloves to anyone who actually plans to box with a heavy bag. However, I would RECOMMEND it for people who just want to try a boxing class or two to see if they like it or not, and people who hardly ever use force to hit the sack. If you are really serious about boxing and don't want to spend money to buy this product only to give a terrible review after a few months, then go for top brands like Hayabusa, Venum, Fairtex and more. Your local boxing studio may even have a rebate program with one of these companies, just ask your trainer. My Hayabusa Tanpeki has lasted me 3 years with 5-6 hours of weekly use on a heavy bag and the padding still feels firm and in shape. and with proper wrap technique I have excellent workouts without injuries. So the $130 I spent 3 years ago is still going up and I - and I'm sure you will too - would rather have that than shell out $36 every few months trying all the cheap brands .
